📅 Saturday, April 19, 2025 | ⏰ 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
As part of its commitment to bolstering the charm of Wheat Ridge, the Wheat Ridge Rotary proudly announces tthe second annual Tree Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to enrich the city's tree canopy while easing the financial burden for residents who yearn to add a touch of nature to their yards but can’t afford a new tree this Spring.
In collaboration with Wheat Ridge Parks, Forestry & Open Space, and a matching grant from Rotary District 5450, the Rotary Tree Scholarship Program will offer eligible residents the opportunity to obtain a tree at no cost, sourced directly from Colorado State University's esteemed nursery.
Please note that scholarships are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to the first (20) qualified homeowners.
How the Tree Scholarship Works
✅ Step 1: Submit the online Tree-mendous Scholarship Application
✅ Step 2: If approved, you’ll receive a voucher via email to select your Free tree at Anderson Park.
✅ Step 3: If you need additional help with delivery or planting, a Rotary member will contact you to coordinate.
Please be sure to mark all that apply on the application form:
☐ I need financial assistance to cover the cost of the tree.
☐ I need help with delivery because I cannot transport the tree myself.
☐ I need help with planting due to age, disability, or lack of resources.
🌳 Important Notes:
-
Tree selection is first-come, first-served, and we’ll do our best to match you with your preferred choice.
-
Assisted tree delivery & planting will take place on April 19, 20, or 21, 2025.
